They simply lost because the team is new and needs better compenetration. Also the bad decisions of the referee was decisive. The referees act in the Champions League in a similar way like in Spain: for Madrid a highway, for Barsa hell of a way.

There’s are weaknesses in any system and it’s up to the players as well to use their experience and coordination in order to fill those. Unfortunately Barcelona don’t have the experience playing together so much. That’s why we aren’t ready to win the CL yet but things are looking bright for the future.

Very good analysis. I think the problem of keeping the ball is not just because of the wingers. But also a mid-field problem.

The zone where Barça is supposed to retain the ball is at the centre not at the wide areas. But Xavi doesn't really work on keeping the ball at the centre for Barcelona, but controlling directly up front

Barcelona are way too slow and with Busi it doesn't help. We need to move the ball quicker, Make clean passes and convert chances. This is why Real Madrid keeps winning because why we are making too many back passes Real Madrid are already in the opponent half scoring goals. We need to avoid making same mistakes and this players would he hoping we forgive them. If we can't beat Bayern in the return leg then sorry Xavi is not the one for Barcelona

Barcelona players are pathetic when it comes to scoring, That individual masterclass we saw from Messi, Neymar and Ronaldinho is lacking big time. Raphinha is so predictable and lacks that Brazilian flair. I just miss Messi and Neymar.
Busi should be used only in first half of games or bench totally. Dude is wack for us for sometime now. If Xavi is a wise coach he would know Dembele excel when on the right wing which means you can only use Dembele or Raphinha from the start of games and not both at same time. Unfortunately our left side is dead,Ansu not in form, Ferran hmm that's not even a player, Memphis benched so it's just bad for the team. Our midfield needs Pedri, Kessie and Frenkie then Gavi introduced. Busi not good enough anymore and he is old can't run like Valverde or Modric. Loses the ball alot by holding it for way too long and looking for cheap fouls

Xavi is a dumb coach, Changing the defense every game would only mean no understanding, No unity and lack of focus. He should be using Kounde and Araujo in center back then use Roberto and Bellerin in right back then choose a left back to complete the defense. Use same defense for 3 to 4 games so they grow together. Instead of using Araujo and Eric today, Kounde and Christein tomorrow, Araujo and Pique the next. Just pathetic. Even Bayern signed De ligt they used the 4 backline that have played for long time and that made a difference

Love you but you got this a bit wrong. Pedri coming deep and pushing the LB wide and the LW to the middle is a pattern of play that messes up with a low block especially if they go man for man. Liverpool also use this. Its intentional as it left kimmich in no man’s land most times

I don’t think this was an “elite” Bayern Munich tho. Bayern didn’t play with full intensity until half time. If they play how they’re usually playing Barca will have it even harder.
