Just ti demonstrate why messi is the best. Cristiano leaves Real Madrid is still top 3 , I can make a bet that if lewandoski leaves Bayern Munich they still win the league. Messi leaves Barcelona are struggling to beat low and mid table team plus they cant seem to break into the top 4

I think for goalkeepers, centre-backs and now the modern striker, it's become easier to get better even in your 30s. Full-backs, midfielders and wingers age faster.

Nowadays scoring goals are thought to be easier because players like Ronaldo and Messi have scored 50+ goals for almost 10-15 seasons. Goal-scorers are taken for granted and all sort of things like xg and other indicators are valued by people. But scoring remains the hardest job for a player. Not everyone can keep a cool head and score goals so easily and freely. When the whole team does its job its really necessary that goalscorers score and win the game if not all the work of other teammates go to waste. So it is necessary to reward people who score unlimited amount of goals.

I don't think it's taken for granted but is definitely underappreciated due to the league he is performing in which I can understand a little bit but when you see his stats compared to others in that league you see how much better he there is also a popularity element to it imo because players from PSG no need to name them all lol all have higher profiles worldwide playing in a much weaker league are all rated above him makes no sense

Lewandowski is the best no. 9 we have seen since Brazilian Ronaldo. He is the third highest UCL top scorer, has over 500 goals, Is the only player beside Cristiano to have scored atleast scored 15 goals in a season in UCL. And he has also recently equalled his 69 goals in a calendar year record. That's insane! No, He is not as good as Ronaldo or Messi. But some La Liga fans have an audacity to call Benzema and Suarez to be better than him. Which is an insult to Lewandowski's consistency for the past decade.

Yeah dan of course your only gonna say this statline was only matched by messi and just forget ronaldo. Like always. The biggest messi fanboy i have ever seen. Just forget ronaldo like he doesn't exist yet he had the same amount of goals.

Ask the hundreds of other players why they cannot do it too. Robbed of 2 Ballon d'Ors which are clearly a farce and just spectacle at this point. So yes, beyond taken for granted just because he is not Argentinian like Maradona or Brazilian like Pele.

  8. Soccer Var

No absolutely not, he is widely regarded by fans as pundits as the current best striker in the world as well as the worlds best player for the past two years.

Just because he finished second in the ballon dor does not mean he has been "taken for granted"
